WHO IS THE BOOK DOULA?
Hey, I’m Vanessa! (Aka The Book Doula). I craft stories.
As a child, I would ride home from the library with toppling books piled on my bicycle handlebars. Even now, you should see my nightstand!
Devouring book after book, I studied journalism and majored in creative writing at university almost 19 years ago. Since then I’ve pitched thousands of stories to the media, written hundreds of brand narratives, & spent every working hour of my life creating & shaping content.
A few years ago people who knew I did this for brands via my biz @therightremark started coming to me asking for help to take their personal stories from ideas to fully formed books.
I guided my first client through the process of planning, writing, and publishing her memoir. And then another client. And then another. And another!
